There just are not enough of these in circulation, or maybe if they were more common they would not have the same appeal… Either way I blame, for no particular reason, the designers of cash registers. After all, if there was a dedicated space for Half Dollars in the currency tray maybe retailers would use them more often. More people would get them as change. And more would circulate all around. Anyway… This Half Dollar came from Saturday's visit to the local coin shop, and highlights another great thing about these establishments, they have better change than other stores! So remember, visit your coin dealer regularly, and pay cash whenever it's practical to do so! ('cause you don't get change from a credit card transaction) Oh, and, ah… Happy Monday! (or something like that)
