Off I go. Heading into the office kitchen in search of a cup of tea. Only to find that someone has left a collection of chocolate coins. Right away I knew I had to update the coin of the day! I mean, really, it's not everyday that you find CHOCOLATE coins! So I grab one of each and happily head back to my desk. Out comes the camera and… hey… wait a minute. I may not know anything about Israeli coins, so I wouldn't know what, if any, coin the one chocolate is modeled after… but the one from See's Candies… It's clearly a Franklin Half Dollar (1948-1963) but why? Shouldn't it be in a silver colored foil instead of gold? Alternately wouldn't it make sense to model the candy on a gold colored coin? And on that note, just imagine Chocolate Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles! Tasty AND pretty.
